Memberships/Honors

In 2007, the prestigious American Academy of Adoption Attorneys recognized Jennifer’s adoption expertise by electing her a fellow. The American Academy of Adoption Attorneys is a national association of approximately 315 attorneys across the United States that have distinguished themselves in the field of adoption law.

Jennifer is a professional member of RESOLVE and will begin speaking and writing for RESOLVE in Spring 2008 regarding adoption and fertility related matters. RESOLVE is the national organization providing support, education and advocacy for those with infertility.

Jennifer is a professional member of Families for Private Adoption, an organization that offers support and education for families interested in private adoptions.

She is trained in mediation and collaborative law and is a member of Collaborative Dispute Resolution Professionals (CDRP).

Jennifer served as a Family Law Mentor for the Montgomery County Bar Foundation and has lectured at the Commission for Women on Divorce, Custody and Child Support issues.

She is a member of the Family Law Sections of the Bar Association of Montgomery County and the District of Columbia Bar Association, a member of the Frederick County Bar Association, Women’s Bar Association, Maryland State Bar Association, Federal Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
